Het Inclusive Child Participation Networks (ICPN)-project is een Europees initiatief dat wordt gecoördineerd door Save the Children Italy en op Europees niveau wordt uitgevoerd door Save the Children Europe en SOS Children’s Villages International. Het brengt 18 organisaties uit 11 landen samen om de participatie van kinderen in besluitvorming op zowel nationaal als EU-niveau te versterken. Het project wordt gefinancierd door het CERV-programma.
Een belangrijk resultaat van het project is het European Network on Inclusive Child Participation, dat nationale netwerken voor kinderparticipatie in heel Europa met elkaar verbindt en samenwerking en kennisuitwisseling bevordert om inclusieve en betekenisvolle participatie van kinderen en jongeren te stimuleren.
Onze consortium
Het consortium van het ICPN-project bestaat uit 18 partnerorganisaties die samenwerken in 11 landen in Europa. Dit weerspiegelt een collectieve en gecoördineerde aanpak, waarbij meerdere actoren bijdragen aan een gemeenschappelijk doel.
Deze partners zijn actief zowel op Europees als op nationaal niveau, waardoor het consortium werkzaamheden in verschillende contexten met elkaar kan verbinden. Betrokkenheid op Europees niveau wijst op een breder, grensoverschrijdend perspectief, terwijl werk op nationaal niveau duidt op betrokkenheid binnen specifieke nationale contexten.
Het consortium brengt organisaties samen die beleidsdeskundigheid, kennis over inclusie en directe ervaring met kinderen en jongeren combineren.
Over het geheel genomen kan het consortium worden gezien als een samenwerkingsstructuur die verschillende vormen van expertise en actieniveaus in heel Europa met elkaar verbindt, waarbij complementaire rollen binnen één gezamenlijk projectkader worden samengebracht.

Through this country based partnership, the Inclusive Child Participation Networks (ICPN) project supports children and young people to participate meaningfully in decisions that affect their lives at local, national, and European level. It creates opportunities for their voices to be heard and to shape the policies and actions that impact them.
National partners work closely with children in their communities, ensuring that participation is grounded in their lived realities and responsive to diverse needs and experiences. At the same time, European level partners help connect learning across countries, amplify children’s voices, and contribute to policy influence and systems change at EU level.
By bringing together action at different levels, the project strengthens collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual learning across borders. It also helps ensure that approaches to participation are more inclusive, consistent, and impactful across Europe.
Together, we are building a stronger and more inclusive child participation ecosystem that enables children to engage meaningfully in the decisions that shape their lives today and in the future.
