If You Feel It,
Show It! ✨
Children have the right to be heard and involved in decisions that affect their lives. That's why the European Child Participation Network (ECPN) and the European ICPN Child Group are inviting children across Europe to take part in a creative campaign about participation and decision making. We want to hear about your experiences through art, creativity, and self-expression.
Why are we asking you?
Children have the right to be heard
We want to understand what it feels like when your ideas are heard — and what it feels like when they're not.
You have the right to be heard
Children have the right to be heard, especially when decisions affect their lives.
We want to understand
What it feels like when your ideas and opinions are listened to, and what it feels like when they are ignored.
You help decision-makers
Your creative work will help adults and decision makers better understand children's experiences and why listening to children matters.
What do I need to create?
We invite you to submit two creative pieces
You can use a drawing, painting, poem, short story, song, rap, video, photo, dance, or any other creative form.
Piece 1
When I am listened to
Show us how you feel when adults listen to your ideas, respect your opinions, and involve you in decisions.
Piece 2
When I am not listened to
Show us how you feel when adults ignore your views or make decisions without hearing what you think.
There are no right or wrong answers. We want to hear about your thoughts and feelings.
Who can participate?
Any child or young person under the age of 18 living in Europe
Why should I participate?
Your voice becomes part of something bigger
When you share your work with us, it becomes part of a collection of children's voices from across Europe.
Your creations can help adults and decision makers better understand what it feels like to be listened to and involved in decisions, and what it feels like when children's views are ignored.
Depending on the number and type of submissions received, children's creations may be featured in exhibitions, publications, videos, online galleries, or other activities that help share children's messages more widely.
Every contribution matters and can help show why children have the right to be heard.
Remember
- You do not need to be good at art.
- We care about your ideas, feelings, and experiences.
- Every contribution matters.
